Networking at a national awareness event

Spreading the word of the Plus Value Awareness for third time and was networking at one of the UK’s biggest autism awareness events.

The Autism show is an annual event takes place at the U.K's three largest cities including at London, Birmingham and Manchester. This event is organised be the charity The National Autistic Society along with variety for several organisations. The event showcases a variety of awareness services of all kinds and for organisation to showcase how the can improve the lives of people with the autism spectrum.

I attended the Birmingham event at the NEC. During my visit, I have talked to various participants. This to find out what they do and the services they provide or their person insight on autism. At the same time I had the opportunity to share the Plus Value awareness initiative projects and campaigns and whats being planned

Finding out about a unique social media concept “Autism Connect” linking families, organisations, communities and for individuals in the autism spectrum

Carrie and David Grant
Sharing their insights and experiences with their two autistic daughters and how they trying to change the education system to make sure their daughters are rightly supported and encouraged.

“A2ndvoice”
A connecting organisation linking diversity and local communities including people in the autistic spectrum.

Research Autism
The organisation who provide a variety of information in issues affecting people in Autism
I had the opportunity to speak informally to the individuals and organisations featured above and was received encouraging feedback on the Plus Value Awareness initiate are sharing on the overall plan and outcome
